Kennedy waltzed into their contest on Saturday with eight straight wins... but they left with nine. They came within a single set of losing the streak, but they secured a 1-0 W against the North Hollywood Huskies. The Cougars have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Huskies, too.

Kennedy's offense was headlined by Leanna Gonzalez and Ariana Lopez, who picked up four kills apiece. They were helped by Byanca Aleman and Laila Teplin, who contributed four assists each. Miranda Diaz controlled things from the service line, finishing with two aces.

Kennedy's win bumped their record up to 26-7. As for North Hollywood, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 8-8.

Kennedy has already played their next match, a 1-0 victory against Highland on the 11th. As for North Hollywood, they will be playing at home against Chavez at 3:30 p.m. on Monday.
