Basketball Game Preview: Pocola Indians vs. Catoosa Indians

The Pocola Indians will take on the Catoosa Indians in a tournament on Wednesday. Pocola will be coming into the game with an undefeated record on the line.

Last Monday, everything went Pocola's way against Wilburton as Pocola made off with a 56-33 victory. The Indians have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won six matchups by 23 points or more this season.

Meanwhile, Catoosa had to endure a four-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They came out on top against Okmulgee by a score of 45-35 on Tuesday.

Catoosa found their leader in freshman Olivia Bowen, who went 8 of 17 en route to 21 points along with eight rebounds and five steals. Those 21 points set a new season-high mark for Bowen. The team also got some help courtesy of Jacquelyn Cornwell, who posted eight points and five steals.

Pocola pushed their record up to 8-0 with the win, which was their 13th straight at home dating back to last season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 59.8 points per game. As for Catoosa, their victory bumped their record up to 4-6.
