Baseball Recap: Fayette Academy Takes a Loss

Fayette Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They lost 21-2 to the University School of Jackson Bruins. If the Vikings were looking for revenge after losing 14-4 to the Bruins when the teams met back in April of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Fayette Academy saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Parker Moss, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one double. That double marked the first that Moss hit this season.

Fayette Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 8-4. As for University School of Jackson, their victory bumped their record up to 7-8.

Coming up, Fayette Academy will be playing in front of their home fans against Evangelical Christian at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for University School of Jackson, they will head out on the road to challenge Munford at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Bruins will need to watch out since the Cougars have now posted at least ten runs in their last three games.
