Banning had already proven themselves in the regular season and they didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. They were the clear victors by a 10-1 margin over the Los Angeles CES Unicorns on Thursday. The Pilots might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won nine contests by seven runs or more this season.

Angelo Duarte was a standout: he went 2-for-3 with two runs, one double, and one RBI. Another player making a difference was Brandon Villarreal, who went 2-for-4 with three runs, two RBI, and one double.

Banning is on a roll lately: they've won 16 of their last 20 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 20-8 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 6.8 runs over those games. As for Los Angeles CES, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 12-13 record this season.

Banning will square off against Garfield at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Pilots 2.3, the Bulldogs 4) so any runs scored will be well earned. Los Angeles CES does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
