Basketball Game Preview: North Creek Jaguars vs. Marysville-Pilchuck Tomahawks + How To Watch

The North Creek Jaguars just played last yesterday, but they'll still welcome the Marysville-Pilchuck Tomahawks at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday. North Creek will be strutting in after a victory while Marysville-Pilchuck will be coming in after a defeat.

North Creek took a loss when they played away from home on Saturday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Friday. They pulled ahead with a 43-42 photo finish over Juanita. The win was some much needed relief for the Jaguars as it spelled an end to their three-game losing streak.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead North Creek to victory, but perhaps none more so than Paige Geller, who dropped a double-double with 17 points and ten boards. Geller has been hot recently, having also posted two or more steals the last three times she's played. Another player making a difference was Madison McGill, who posted six points along with six rebounds and four steals.

Meanwhile, Marysville-Pilchuck managed to keep up with Mariner until halftime on Tuesday, but things quickly went downhill from there. The Tomahawks lost 59-34 to the Marauders. The Tomahawks have struggled against the Marauders recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive lost matchup.

North Creek's victory was their first in the district, bumping their district record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 2-3. As for Marysville-Pilchuck, their loss dropped their record down to 0-5.

Everything came up roses for North Creek against Marysville-Pilchuck in their previous matchup back in December of 2024, as the team secured a 59-17 win. In that contest, the Jaguars amassed a halftime lead of 47-7, an impressive feat they'll look to repeat on Saturday.
