Football Game Preview: Copiague Eagles vs. Commack Cougars

The Copiague Eagles will head out to face off against the Commack Cougars at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday. Commack took a loss in their last contest and will be looking to turn the tables on Copiague, who comes in off a win.

Copiague will bounce into Saturday's matchup after beating Centereach, who they had gone 1-6 against in their seven prior meetings. The Eagles walked away with a 27-17 victory over the Cougars on Saturday. The win almost wasn't to be: the Eagles were down 14-0 in the second quarter.

Meanwhile, Commack was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They were three points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 37-34 heartbreaker at the hands of Smithtown East.

The victory made it two in a row for Copiague and bumps their season record up to 2-2. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 29.0 points over those games. As for Commack, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-3.
