Haywood won the last time they faced Bolivar Central and things went their way on Saturday too. The Haywood Tomcats walked away with a 74-67 win over the Bolivar Central Tigers. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Tomcats.

Haywood had a senior duo take command as Lekendric Phillips en route to 31 points and seven rebounds and Jaybyon Snipe shot 4-for-7 from beyond the arc and dropped a double-double with 28 points and ten boards. That's the most points Snipe has posted since back in November of 2024. Antrell Jones was another key player, putting up nine points.

Bolivar Central's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Tametric Harris, who to rack up 20 points, and Kealan Polk, who on his way to 18 points in addition to seven boards and three steals. Polk's big performance that afternoon made it five games in a row in which he has scored at least 16 points. Cortavious Walton also deserves some recognition as he pulled down his first board of the season.

Haywood's record is now 15-12. As for Bolivar Central, they now have a losing record of 12-13.

Looking ahead, Haywood will square off against Fayette Ware at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Fayette Ware will roll in looking for their 14th straight victory, something Haywood surely won't give up without a fight. Bolivar Central does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
