Basketball Recap: Blue Ridge Comes Up Short

Blue Ridge was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their 16th straight defeat dating back to last season. They were beaten by the Argenta-Oreana Bombers 56-17. The Knights were not able to make up for their loss to the Bombers from their previous meeting back in December of 2023.

Blue Ridge's defeat dropped their record down to 0-9. As for Argenta-Oreana, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 5-7.

Blue Ridge and Villa Grove will compete for holiday cheer at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Argenta-Oreana, they and Sangamon Valley/Tri-City will face off at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday without much rest having both just played. Argenta-Oreana is facing Sangamon Valley/Tri-City at the right time seeing as Sangamon Valley/Tri-City is stuck on a three-game losing streak.
