Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Philip). They were the clear victor by a 62-39 margin over the Burke Cougars on Saturday. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest win the Scotties have posted since February 27, 2024.

Burke lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Quinten Bull, who went 6-for-11 to rack up 12 points and eight boards. Another player making a difference was Elijah Bartling, who posted seven points and four steals.

Philip's victory bumped their record up to 5-11. As for Burke, they are on a 17-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-14.

Philip wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 68-44 defeat against Lyman on the 13th. As for Burke, they have also already played their next match, a 51-45 loss against Bon Homme on the 11th.
