Soccer Recap: Plano Comes Up Short

If Plano was riding high fresh off their 5-1 takedown of Marengo on Wednesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Reapers fell just short of the Streator/Woodland Bulldogs by a score of 1-0 on Thursday. Plano were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Streator/Woodland apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in September of 2024.

Plano has also been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last seven games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-8 record this season. Streator/Woodland's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-8.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Plano will face off against Earlville at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Streator/Woodland, they will venture away from home to challenge Peotone at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
