It was a good run, but Gateway Christian unfortunately witnessed the end of their four-game winning streak on Saturday. They were dealt a 70-38 defeat at the hands of the Melrose Buffaloes. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Warriors have suffered since January 28th.

Gateway Christian lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Zack McCracken, who went 5-for-10 en route to 13 points. He is also on a roll when it comes to three-point shooting accuracy, as he's posted one of at least 40% in the last three games he's played. Another player making a difference was Grady Munson, who shot 45% from the field to rack up 13 points and three steals.

Gateway Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 21-8. As for Melrose, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 13 of their last 14 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 22-5 record this season.

Gateway Christian and Melrose are set to take part in some playoff action in their next matches. Gateway Christian will challenge Cliff at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Melrose, they will take on Springer at 5:00 p.m. on Saturday. One thing working in Melrose's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last seven contests.
