The Wyoming Area Warriors are taking a road trip to take on the Greater Nanticoke Area Trojans at 4:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Wyoming Area is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7.6 runs per game this season.

Wyoming Area lost 16-6 to Pittston on Sunday. The Warriors have struggled against the Patriots recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive lost meeting.

Wyoming Area saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Alexa Gasek, who went a perfect 4-for-4 with two doubles and one run. Another was Rebecca Gula, who went 2-for-3 with one run and one RBI.

Meanwhile, Greater Nanticoke Area fell victim to Lake-Lehman and their airtight pitching crew on Thursday. They came up short against the Knights, falling 21-0. Having soared to a lofty 14 runs in the game before, the Trojans' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

Greater Nanticoke Area's loss was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 1-9. As for Wyoming Area, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-5.

Wyoming Area was able to grind out a solid win over Greater Nanticoke Area when the teams last played back in April of 2024, winning 6-2. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Warriors since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
