New Palestine had already won ten in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 6 runs) and they went ahead and made it 11 on Monday. Their pitchers stepped up to hand the New Castle Trojans an 11-0 shutout. Considering the Dragons have won 12 games by more than five runs this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.

Sadey Hughbanks looked comfortable as she pitched 1.2 innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than two walks in ten consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Katie Hirschy was incredible, going 1-for-3 with one home run, five RBI, and one stolen base. She is on a roll when it comes to RBI, as she's now brought in three or more in each of the last three games she's played. Jersi Gross was another key player, going 2-for-3 with three runs and one stolen base.

New Palestine kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least 11 hits in four consecutive matches.

New Palestine pushed their record up to 19-1 with the victory, which was their seventh straight on the road. The road wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.9 runs over those games. As for New Castle, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-7.

Looking ahead, New Palestine will head out to square off against Fishers at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for New Castle, they will take on Yorktown at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Trojans' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Tigers have averaged an impressive 9.8 runs per game this season.
