Linton-Stockton is 8-1 against Clay City since April of 2016 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Thursday. The Miners will venture away from home to face off against the Eels at 5:00 p.m. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Linton-Stockton is probably headed into the matchup with a chip on their shoulder considering Northview just ended the team's three-game winning streak on Monday. They lost 7-1 to the Knights.

Parke Heritage hit Clay City with a four-run second inning on Tuesday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Eels fell just short of the Wolves by a score of 6-4. The Eels have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

The loss was their first at home , dropping their record down to 5-3. As for Clay City, they now have a losing record of 3-4.

Linton-Stockton beat Clay City 9-5 when the teams last played back in April of 2024. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Miners since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
