Softball Recap: Brookland-Cayce Takes a Loss

Brookland-Cayce was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They lost 10-0 to the Gray Collegiate Academy War Eagles. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the War Eagles this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 14-0 last Thursday.

Brookland-Cayce's defeat dropped their record down to 1-12. As for Gray Collegiate Academy, the victory (which was their 13th in a row) raised their record to 21-1.

We've got plenty of inter-region action coming up soon. Brookland-Cayce will take on rival Airport at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Meanwhile, Gray Collegiate Academy is set to face off against their familiar foe Gilbert at 7:15 p.m. on the 21st. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the War Eagles 2.3, the Indians 2.1) so any runs scored will be well earned.
