Arlington had won six straight games and Evelien Hodges did her part to make it seven on Friday. The Colts put the hurt on the Grand Prairie Gophers with a sharp 3-0 win for which the team can thank Hodges, who had four digs and three aces. She is also on a roll when it comes to assists, as she's now posted 13 or more in each of the last three games she's played.
Arlington walked away with the victory (and looked especially good in the second set). Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-19, 25-11, 25-17.
Arlington's win bumped their record up to 14-18. As for Grand Prairie, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost six of their last eight matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 11-9-1 record this season.
