Softball Recap: Wahkiakum Comes Up Short

After flying high against Oakville on Monday, Wahkiakum came back down to earth. The Mules came up short against the Ocosta Wildcats on Friday, falling 16-1. The match marked the Mules' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Amy Horman made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one double. She is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as she's now snagged at least one in each of the last four games she's played.

Wahkiakum's defeat was their fourth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 1-5. As for Ocosta, the win got them back to even at 3-3.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Wahkiakum will venture away from home to face off against North Beach at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Ocosta, they will take on Onalaska at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday.
