Volleyball Game Preview: Providence Christian Academy LIONS vs. Franklin Christian Academy Falcons

The Providence Christian Academy LIONS will challenge the Franklin Christian Academy Falcons at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this match.

It was a proper cat-fight when Providence Christian Academy challenged Franklin Road Academy on Thursday. The LIONS came up short against the Panthers, falling 3-0. The LIONS have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

Providence Christian Academy was held off the scoreboard, but that almost wasn't the case: they kept the second set very close. The match finished with set scores of 25-14, 25-24, 25-19.

Meanwhile, Franklin Christian Academy didn't have quite enough to beat Spring Hill on Wednesday and fell 3-2.

In an exciting match in which no team claimed back-to-back wins, Franklin Christian Academy sadly wound up on the wrong side. The final score came out to 25-17, 24-26, 25-19, 20-25, 15-13.

Despite the loss, Franklin Christian Academy saw an underclassman step up: freshman Tatum Beathard had 15 digs and five assists.

Franklin Christian Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 9-14. As for Providence Christian Academy, their loss dropped their record down to 7-5.

Providence Christian Academy took their win against Franklin Christian Academy when the teams last played last Thursday by a conclusive 3-0 score. Will the LIONS repeat their success, or do the Falcons have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
