Softball Recap: Boston Latin Snaps Ten-Game Streak of Losses at Home

The home team had won the previous four meetings between Boston Latin and Cambridge Rindge & Latin, and Boston Latin kept the tradition alive. The Wolfpack walked away with a 13-10 victory over the Falcons on Friday. That's two games straight that the Wolfpack have won by exactly three runs.

Christina George spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered four earned (and six unearned) runs on ten hits. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than two walks in three consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Ava Enright was incredible, going 2-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI. Those two RBI gave her a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Abby Rosenfield, who went 3-for-4 with one RBI.

Boston Latin's win ended a ten-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 3-13. As for Cambridge Rindge & Latin, they are on a 14-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-11.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Boston Latin will face off against Wayland at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Cambridge Rindge & Latin, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Winchester at 4:30 p.m. on Monday.
