Volleyball Recap: School of the Ozarks' Winning Streak Snapped at Eight Games

After a string of eight wins, School of the Ozarks's good fortune finally ran out on Thursday. They fell just short of the Fordland Eagles by a score of 3-2. The Patriots were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Eagles apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in September of 2024.

School of the Ozarks took a 2-1 lead headed into the fourth set, but sadly they lost the next two. The final score came out to 25-27, 25-17, 22-25, 25-17, 15-8.

Bennett Houston paced School of the Ozarks' offense, picking up 11 kills. Houston got some help from Lulu Robbins and her 26 assists. Kaylee Martin controlled things from the service line, finishing with seven aces.

School of the Ozarks' defeat dropped their record down to 11-2. As for Fordland, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 4-1.

School of the Ozarks wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 1-1 tie against Greenfield on the 20th. Fordland has also already played their next game (against Sparta), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
