Softball Game Preview: Millburn Millers vs. Belleville Buccaneers

The Millburn Millers will head out to challenge the Belleville Buccaneers at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. Millburn is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.5 runs per game this season.

Millburn is headed into Monday's contest looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their third straight game on Thursday. They came up short against Montclair Kimberley Academy, falling 10-2.

Meanwhile, it may have taken eight innings to finish the job, but Belleville ultimately got the result they hoped for on Tuesday. They came out on top against Millburn by a score of 8-5. The victory was some much needed relief for the Buccaneers as it spelled an end to their three-game losing streak.

Belleville's win bumped their record up to 4-7. As for Millburn, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-6.

Millburn couldn't quite get it done against Belleville when the teams last played on Tuesday as they fell 8-5. Can the Millers avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
