Basketball Recap: Chapin's Losing Streak Snapped at Four Games

Chapin made up a huge gap compared to their last game against Lexington, but still couldn't quite topple them. The Chapin Eagles put the hurt on the Lexington Wildcats with a sharp 63-39 victory on Tuesday. The score was close at the half, but the Eagles pulled away in the second half with 40 points.

With the win, Chapin broke their four-game losing streak and moved their record to 8-10. As for Lexington, they dropped their record down to 4-10 with the defeat, which was their third straight on the road.

Chapin and Lexington could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps South Carolina Rankings. Chapin (ranked 98th) will meet River Bluff (ranked 34th) at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Lexington will face off against Dutch Fork at 7:30 p.m. on Friday down 117 places (148 vs. 31).
