Ponder has gone 10-0 against Pilot Point recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. A feisty cat fight will be fought when the Ponder Lions take on the Pilot Point Bearcats at 5:30 p.m. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Ponder is headed into Friday's match hungry for a win as their strong season has now been derailed by two straight losses. They fell 47-39 to Fossil Ridge on Tuesday.

Meanwhile, Pilot Point was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 26th straight defeat dating back to last season. They lost 59-33 to Blue Ridge. While losing is never fun, the Bearcats can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 1211th, while the Tigers are ranked 594th).

Pilot Point's loss dropped their record down to 0-8. As for Ponder, their defeat ended a ten-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 11-3.

Everything came up roses for Ponder against Pilot Point in their previous meeting back in January, as the squad secured an 86-17 victory. Will Ponder repeat their success, or does Pilot Point have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
