Basketball Recap: Highland Takes a Loss

Highland was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They lost 55-34 to the Thunder Ridge Titans. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Titans this season, with their most recent defeat being a 45-34 loss two weeks ago.

Thunder Ridge got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Avah Lugo out in front who posted 12 points in addition to five boards and four steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Kensey Peterson, who put up nine points and five steals.

Highland's defeat dropped their record down to 9-13. As for Thunder Ridge, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 12-9 record this season.

Highland has already played their next game, a 56-31 victory against Canyon Ridge on the 6th. As for Thunder Ridge, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 55-38 loss against Madison on the 6th.
