West Columbus's game last Friday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Tuesday. They walked away with a 50-43 win over the Pender Patriots. This was a revenge game for the Vikings: when they faced off against the Patriots back in January, they had to take a 64-41 defeat.

West Columbus got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Larry 'DJ' Graham out in front who posted 15 points and three steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Zion Eady, who earned six points in addition to nine boards and four blocks.

Pender's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Jordan Hansley, who scored 19 points and four steals, and Ricky Armstrong, who had seven points and four steals. Hansley's evening made it five games in a row in which he has scored at least 15 points. Jaheim Lambe was another key player, putting up five points.

West Columbus' win was their first in the conference, bumping their conference record up to 1-9 and their overall record up to 4-16. As for Pender, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matches, which has put a noticeable dent in their 6-11 record this season.

Coincidentally, West Columbus and Pender will both be playing Heide Trask the next time they take the court. West Columbus will head out to face Heide Trask at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, while Pender will host them at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
