Volleyball Recap: Saint Ignatius College Prep Comes Up Short

Saint Ignatius College Prep was the 2-1 winner over Niles Notre Dame when they last played one another back in March of 2023, but their luck changed this time around. The Wolfpack took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Dons on Friday. The Wolfpack have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Ben Corbitt paced Saint Ignatius College Prep's offense, picking up six kills. Corbitt got some help from Campbell Hahn and his nine assists. Lucca Gambatese controlled things from the service line, finishing with two aces.

Saint Ignatius College Prep's loss dropped their record down to 6-8. As for Niles Notre Dame, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 8-3.

Coincidentally, Saint Ignatius College Prep and Niles Notre Dame will both be playing York the next time they take the court. The Dons will head out to face the Dukes at 6:15 p.m. on Friday, while the Wolfpack will play them later in the day, at 7:30 p.m.
