Riverdale gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Monday. They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Stewarts Creek Red Hawks. The victory continues a trend for the Warriors in their matchups with the Red Hawks: they've now won six in a row.

The win didn't come easy: Stewarts Creek scored at least 21 points in every set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-21, 25-22, 25-22.

Riverdale's offense was headlined by Montanna Arel and Alana Creasey, who picked up nine kills apiece. They got some help from Abby Zimmerman and her 19 assists. Bre Putnam controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.

Riverdale will be playing at home against Ezell-Harding Christian at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Stewarts Creek, they will look to take advantage of their home court for the first time this season as they take on White County at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. This will be the Red Hawks' first chance to prove their worth in the conference.
