Basketball Game Preview: Central Cabarrus Vikings vs. West Rowan Falcons

Central Cabarrus is 8-2 against West Rowan since December of 2017 and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Friday. The Central Cabarrus Vikings will host the West Rowan Falcons at 7:00 p.m. Keep an eye on the score for this one: both posted some lofty point totals in their previous games.

Last Tuesday, Central Cabarrus earned a 79-69 win over Lake Norman Charter. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Vikings.

Kevonta' Martin was his usual excellent self, going 13 for 20 on his way to 31 points along with six boards and three steals. Those 31 points gave him a new career-high. Cayden Smith was another key player, putting up ten points.

Meanwhile, West Rowan didn't have too much breathing room in their contest against Lake Norman Charter on Wednesday, but they still walked away with a 74-69 victory.

Central Cabarrus has also been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games, which provided a nice bump to their 11-10 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 67.8 points per game. As for West Rowan, their win ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 7-13.

Central Cabarrus was able to grind out a solid victory over West Rowan in their previous matchup back in January, winning 76-65. Does Central Cabarrus have another victory up their sleeve, or will West Rowan turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
