Baseball Recap: Chesterfield Comes Up Short

Tuesday just wasn't the day for Chesterfield's offense. They lost 10-0 to the Cheraw Braves on Tuesday. The Golden Rams have struggled against the Braves recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive lost meeting.

Chesterfield saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Avery Keith, who went 1-for-3 with one double. That double was Keith's first of the season.

Chesterfield's defeat dropped their record down to 8-6. As for Cheraw, they pushed their record up to 12-3 with the win, which was their tenth straight at home dating back to last season.

While Chesterfield had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
