Basketball Recap: Chinle Triumphs

Chinle won the last time they faced Florence and things went their way on Saturday too. The Wildcats came out on top against the Gophers by a score of 67-58. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Wildcats.

Despite the loss, Florence still got an impressive performance from Soldier Blouir, who dropped a double-double with 11 points and ten boards. With that strong performance, Blouir is now averaging an impressive 8.2 rebounds per game. JJ Gibbs was another key player, putting up nine points.

Chinle's win bumped their record up to 4-1. As for Florence, their loss dropped their record down to 1-3.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Chinle is packing up and heading out for their first away game of the season: they will face off against Snowflake at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Florence, they will square off against San Tan Foothills at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
