Baseball Recap: Sitka Wolves vs. Juneau-Douglas Crimson Bears

It was a good run, but Sitka unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Saturday. They fell 6-3 to the Juneau-Douglas Crimson Bears. Sitka was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Juneau-Douglas apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played on Friday.

Levi Hodges was a force to be reckoned with on the mound despite the final result: he didn't allow a single earned run over five innings pitched.

On the hitting side, Brett Ross was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring a run and stealing two bases while going 3-for-4.

Sitka's loss dropped their record down to 10-3. As for Juneau-Douglas, they now have a winning record of 4-3.

Sitka does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Juneau-Douglas, they will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Thunder Mountain at 7:00 p.m. on May 17th. Thunder Mountain is coming into the matchup with three straight wins on the road, so Juneau-Douglas will have to stop a squad with plenty of momentum.
