Basketball Recap: Hope Christian Academy Comes Up Short

Hope Christian Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their eighth straight defeat. They were a single point away from ending the streak, but they lost a 33-32 heartbreaker at the hands of Northside Christian Academy. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Lions this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 49-34 last Thursday.

When it comes to explaining why Hope Christian Academy lost, don't look at Addyson Wilson. Despite the final result, she went 9 of 16 en route to 21 points and six steals. With that strong performance, Wilson is now averaging an impressive 15.7 points per game. Aubriana Clark was another key player, putting up seven points.

Hope Christian Academy's loss dropped their record down to 0-8. As for Northside Christian Academy, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 3-5.
