Basketball Recap: Kelly Catholic Piles Up the Points Against Deweyville

Kelly Catholic won the last time they faced Deweyville and things went their way on Saturday too. The Kelly Catholic Bulldogs claimed a resounding 44-16 victory over the Deweyville Pirates. The matchup was all but wrapped up at the end of the third, by which point the Bulldogs had established a 21 point advantage.

Kelly Catholic was led to victory by Mattie Holmes and Avery Redmon. Holmes posted 18 points and three steals, while Redmon had 14 points. Holmes has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last four times she's played.

The win made it two in a row for Kelly Catholic and bumps their season record up to 7-12. As for Deweyville, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-1.

Kelly Catholic wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 38-32 victory against West Hardin on the 10th. As for Deweyville, they will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Starks at 5:30 p.m. on December 17th.
