C District 4 (8 Man) recap November 5, 2013

Adding to the longest winning streak in C District 4 (8 Man) this week, Thackerville beat Sasakwa 30-6. The victory was the eighth in a row for the team.

Arkoma's offense was unstoppable this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. Matthew Harmon threw for 51 and 2 touchdowns and Dakotah Roam had 39 yards receiving. On the ground Darion Brumfield chipped in 91 yards. Tanner Sweeten helped Arkoma's passing attack out by catching 2 balls for 36 yards.

The Mustangs' dynamic duo of Harmon and Roam proved to be unstoppable against Wright Christian, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week. Sweeten helped Arkoma's passing attack out by catching 2 balls for 36 yards.

Ethann Gates provided a threat through the air and on the ground as Arkoma beat the Wildcats. He completed 2 passes for 33 yards and also ran for 86 yards. Gates' favorite target this week was Roam, who caught 2 passes for 39 yards.

Kennan Lawrence was a key player and the best on defense this week as the Vikings lost to Thackerville. The 5-foot-10 sophomore recorded 2 fumbles.

Mark Weatherton's team's Gates and Sweeten led the league in both passing and receiving yards. 6-0 quarterback Gates has thrown for 1,499 yards this season, while Sweeten has 39 catches for 982 yards. Sasakwa's Cody Harjo leads the league in rushing yards with 1,106.

The Mustangs' Sweeten is a few successful plays short of surpassing 1,000 yards receiving this season. He needs only 18 receiving yards against Webbers Falls to hit that benchmark. So far this year, he has garnered 39 catches for 982 yards.

An important game coming up in the league this week will be when Johnie Loggins' team takes on Maud. The Vikings are in second place, while the Tigers are in fourth place.

Southwest Covenant led C District 4 (8 Man) in scoring this week by notching 74 points on the Warriors.
