Basketball Game Preview: Brentwood School Eagles vs. Campbell Hall Vikings

The Brentwood School Eagles will head out on the road to face off against the Campbell Hall Vikings at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday. Brentwood School knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past nine matchups -- so hopefully Campbell Hall likes a good challenge.

Last Wednesday, Brentwood School earned a 66-55 victory over Crossroads. Given the Eagles' advantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 18th, while the Roadrunners are ranked 145th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, Campbell Hall was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap on Thursday as they fell 66-62 to Windward. The loss continues a trend for the Vikings in their matchups with the Wildcats: they've now lost five in a row.

Campbell Hall's defeat dropped their record down to 12-7. As for Brentwood School, they are on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine contests, which provided a nice bump to their 20-3 record this season.

Brentwood School came up short against Campbell Hall in their previous matchup back in January of 2024, falling 79-69. Can Brentwood School avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
