The Legion Collegiate Academy Lancers will head out on the road to square off against the Lincoln Charter Eagles at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Legion Collegiate Academy is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7.5 runs per game this season.

Last Tuesday, Legion Collegiate Academy made easy work of Lancaster and carried off a 14-8 win. The Lancers haven't had any issues with the Bruins recently, as the game was their third consecutive victory against them.

The team relied heavily on Macie Tillman, who scored three runs and stole two bases while getting on base in all five of her plate appearances. That's the most runs she has posted since back in March. The team also got some help courtesy of Emma Dade, who scored two runs while going 4-for-5.

Legion Collegiate Academy was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .417. They are a perfect 5-0 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.

Meanwhile, Lincoln Charter has relied on a stalwart pitchers averaging four runs allowed per game, but that average took a hit on Wednesday. They lost 13-3 to East Gaston. The Eagles have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Legion Collegiate Academy pushed their record up to 9-7-1 with the win, which was their third straight on the road. The road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 14.7 runs over those games. As for Lincoln Charter, their defeat dropped their record down to 11-5.
