Basketball Recap: Santa Fe Extends Winning Streak to Four

Santa Fe extended their winning streak to four games thanks to a huge performance from Hannah Doerre. The Santa Fe Indians had just enough and edged the Angleton Wildcats out 53-51 thanks in part to Doerre, who dropped a double-double on 19 points and 14 rebounds. Her evening made it three games in a row in which she has scored at least ten points.

Rowan Green was another key player, putting up 12 points and seven boards. The dominant performance gave her a new career-high in rebounds.

Santa Fe pushed their record up to 9-11 with the win, which was their third straight at home. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 55.0 points per game. As for Angleton, their defeat dropped their record down to 17-10.

Coincidentally, Santa Fe and Angleton will both be playing Iowa Colony the next time they take the court. Santa Fe will head out to face Iowa Colony at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, while Angleton will host them at 7:00 p.m. on January 24th.
