Football Recap: Covington Academy Comes Up Short

Covington Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They were beaten by the Trinity Christian School of Griffin LIONS 46-8. The Bulldogs were not able to make up for their loss to the LIONS from their previous meeting back in November of 2024.

Covington Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 1-4. As for Trinity Christian School of Griffin, their victory was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 3-1.

Covington Academy will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Peachtree Academy at 7:30 p.m. on the 26th. As for Trinity Christian School of Griffin, they didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next match, a 44-0 win against Holy Ground Baptist Academy on the 19th.
