Soccer Game Preview: Canisius vs. Archbishop Molloy

The Canisius Crusaders will square off against the Archbishop Molloy Stanners at 10:45 a.m. on Sunday. Canisius is coming into the match hot, having won their last 15 games.

Canisius is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Saturday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against St. Joseph's Collegiate Institute, sneaking past 2-1. Given Canisius' advantage in MaxPreps' New York soccer rankings (they are ranked fourth, while St. Joseph's Collegiate Institute are ranked 125th) , the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Hayden Cunningham and Henry Smith scored both of Canisius' goals, bringing their combined season tally to 25 goals.

Meanwhile, for the first time this season, Archbishop Molloy was forced to settle for a draw. They and St. Francis Prep finished up on equal footing with a 1-1 draw back in October.

Archbishop Molloy's draw makes their record 2-2-1 this season. As for Canisius, their win bumped their record up to 15-1-1.
