Soccer Game Preview: Hampton County vs. Bamberg-Ehrhardt

The Hampton County Hurricanes will venture away from home to challenge the Bamberg-Ehrhardt Red Raiders at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Hampton County will be strutting in after a win while Bamberg-Ehrhardt will be coming in after a loss.

Hampton County barely beat Whale Branch the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Hurricanes blew past the Warriors 4-1 on Wednesday. The victory continues a trend for Hampton County in their matchups with Whale Branch: they've now won six in a row.

Joel Gittings and Jackson Gibbons scored all four of Hampton County's goals, bringing their combined season tally to 20 goals.

Meanwhile, Bamberg-Ehrhardt was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 15th straight defeat. They came up short against Royal Live Oaks Academy, falling 12-0.

Hampton County's win bumped their record up to 6-13. As for Bamberg-Ehrhardt, their loss dropped their record down to 0-15.

Everything went Hampton County's way against Bamberg-Ehrhardt when the teams last played back in April, as Hampton County made off with an 8-0 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Hurricanes since the squad won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
