Houston Academy lost against New Brockton back in November of 2023 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Raiders took a 43-39 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Gamecocks.

Houston Academy's defeat came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Elizabeth Liddon, who dropped a double-double with 12 points and 13 rebounds. Another player making a difference was Katy Claire Boothe, who shot 71% from the field en route to 12 points.

Houston Academy's loss dropped their record down to 1-1. As for New Brockton, the win also got them back to even at 1-1.
