Baseball Game Preview: Inspiration Academy Red Lions vs. Central Pointe Christian Academy CPCA

The Inspiration Academy Red Lions will be defending their home field for the first time this season when they go up against the Central Pointe Christian Academy CPCA at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. The two teams each escaped (but just barely!) with wins against their previous opponents.

Inspiration Academy Red will bounce into Friday's game after beating IMG Academy Navy, who they had gone 0-3 against in their three prior meetings. Inspiration Academy Red sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 4-2 win over IMG Academy Navy on Tuesday.

Grady Conroy looked comfortable as he pitched three innings while giving up just one earned run off four hits.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Gene Huang, who scored a run while going 1-for-2. Gio Cruz was another key player, scoring a run while going 2-for-4.

Meanwhile, Central Pointe Christian Academy had just enough and edged out Inspiration Academy 5-4 last Monday. The CPCA haven't had any issues with the Lions recently, as the game was their third consecutive victory against them.

Central Pointe Christian Academy's win bumped their record up to 5-8-1. As for Inspiration Academy Red, they now have a winning record of 2-1.
