Softball Game Preview: Mercersburg Academy Storm vs. Spring Mills Cardinals

Mercersburg Academy hasn't had much luck against Spring Mills recently, but that could start to change on Wednesday. The Storm will be playing at home against the Cardinals at 4:30 p.m. Mercersburg Academy has given up an average of 8.4 runs per game this season, but Wednesday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

James Buchanan hit Mercersburg Academy with a eight-run fourth inning on Friday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Storm came up short against the Rockets, falling 13-3.

Wednesday's matchup will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Mercersburg Academy hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .322. However, it's not like Spring Mills struggles in that department as they've averaged .345. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
