The Edinburg North Cougars' pitcher stepped up to hand the La Joya Coyotes a 7-0 shutout. The Cougars might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won nine matchups by six runs or more this season.
Not much got past Destany Bermudez, who gave up just two hits and racked up ten Ks to keep La Joya off the board. Bermudez has been consistent for a while: she hasn't given up more than two walks in 17 consecutive appearances.
At the plate, Natalie Diaz was incredible, scoring two runs while going 3-for-4.
