Softball Game Preview: Vineland Fighting Clan vs. Gloucester County Tech

The Vineland Fighting Clan will face off against Gloucester County Tech at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. Vineland is coming into the contest hot, having won their last five games.

On Wednesday, Vineland sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 2-1 victory over Egg Harbor Township.

Meanwhile, Gloucester County Tech came up short against Williamstown on Monday and fell 8-3.

Gloucester County Tech saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Ashley Vossenberg, who scored a run while going 3-for-4.

Vineland pushed their record up to 5-1 with the win, which was their fourth straight on the road. Those road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.0 runs over those games. As for Gloucester County Tech, their loss dropped their record down to 2-4.

Vineland took their win against Gloucester County Tech in their previous matchup back in April of 2024 by a conclusive 9-2 score. Will the Fighting Clan repeat their success, or do Gloucester County Tech have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
