Santa Fe Christian not only won on Friday, but they posted their biggest win since May 2, 2024. They were the clear victor by a 14-4 margin over the Coronado Islanders.

Santa Fe Christian got a great performance from Owen Mauser as he struck out six batters over five innings while giving up just two earned runs off six hits.

On the hitting side, Noah Joseph and Jackson Noonan did most of the damage at the plate: Joseph went 2-for-4 with one home run, four RBI, and two runs, while Noonan scored three runs and stole a base while going 2-for-4. That's the most hits Joseph has posted since back in May of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Elijah Joseph, who scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-3.

Santa Fe Christian kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 14 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least nine hits every time they've taken the field this season.

Santa Fe Christian now has a winning record of 2-1. As for Coronado, their defeat was their first of the season and also makes their record 2-1.

Coming up, Santa Fe Christian will look to defend their home field on Monday against University City at 3:30 p.m. University City will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something Santa Fe Christian surely won't give up without a fight. As for Coronado, they will venture away from home to take on Steele Canyon at 3:30 p.m. on Monday. Coronado is facing Steele Canyon at the right time seeing as Steele Canyon is stuck on a three-game losing streak.
