Baseball Recap: Pilot Point Comes Up Short

Pilot Point was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat. They came up short against the Boyd Yellowjackets, falling 10-0. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Yellowjackets this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 12-0 on Tuesday.

Pilot Point saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Hastings Fischer, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base.

Pilot Point's loss dropped their record down to 6-14. As for Boyd, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 19 of their last 21 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 25-3 record this season.

Pilot Point does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Boyd, they will be playing at home against Arlington Heights at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. Boyd's pitchers better be ready for this one: Arlington Heights has averaged an impressive 6.6 runs per game this season.
