Basketball Game Preview: Port Arthur Memorial Titans vs. Westfield Mustangs

The Port Arthur Memorial Titans will take on the Westfield Mustangs in a tournament on Friday.

Last Friday, Port Arthur Memorial came up short against Beaumont United and fell 49-38. The Titans have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Westfield). They blew past Aldine 69-3 on Friday. The victory was nothing new for Westfield as they're now sitting on five straight.

Westfield's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 11-2. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 58.3 points per game. As for Port Arthur Memorial, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-11.

Port Arthur Memorial strolled past Westfield when the teams last played back in November of 2015 by a score of 54-39. Will Port Arthur Memorial repeat their success, or does Westfield have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
