Basketball Game Preview: Douglass Bulldogs vs. Chaparral Roadrunners

Douglass is 1-9 against Chaparral since January of 2019 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The Douglass Bulldogs will head out to square off against the Chaparral Roadrunners. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this contest.

Douglass is headed into Tuesday's match looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their seventh straight game on Friday. They took a blow against Cheney, falling 53-15. While losing is never fun, the Bulldogs can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Kansas basketball rankings (they are ranked 328th, while the Cardinals are ranked 93rd).

Meanwhile, Chaparral came up short against Garden Plain on Friday and fell 49-37.

Douglass' loss dropped their record down to 2-15. As for Chaparral, they have been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-11-1 record this season.

Douglass came up short against Chaparral in their previous meeting back in February of 2024, falling 40-27. Can Douglass avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
