The Redhawks are taking a road trip to face off against the Miners at 4:30 p.m. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with 15 consecutive losses for La Veta and eight for Trinidad.

On Thursday, La Veta came up short against Springfield and fell 3-1.

The defeat didn't mean the game wasn't competitive: Springfield scored at least 19 points in every set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-19, 25-23, 20-25, 25-19.

Meanwhile, Trinidad came up short against Del Norte on Saturday, falling 3-0.

The final score came out to 25-11, 25-13, 25-13.

La Veta's loss dropped their record down to 1-18. As for Trinidad, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-14.

Everything went La Veta's way against Trinidad in their previous meeting back in October of 2024, as La Veta made off with a 3-0 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Redhawks since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
